years of experience
Fractional CTO / VP R&D — Clinical AI, Robotics & Complex Systems
Gabriel began his career as a technical systems analyst and test engineer in the Israeli Air Force, reaching the rank of Major and taking part in several satellite launches, before leading system engineering and testing on large multidisciplinary programmes at Israel Aerospace Industries. He went on to senior system engineering and technical product roles at Orbotech and OSR Enterprises, then moved into regulated medical devices in Sydney as Technology Development Lead at Nanosonics and Principal Engineer for robotics and automation across Cochlear's global manufacturing operations.
Since 2024 he has run LambdaTwo, a private AI practice with around ten production AI systems on his own GPU infrastructure, building clinical AI that runs entirely on-premises inside hospitals. He also holds CTO roles at Echidna and MW Autonomous Systems, which he founded, is a certified business coach with 15 years developing senior managers, and serves as a panel CTO with CTO Grand Rounds. He holds an MBA and a BSc in Physics from the Technion and studied robotics, computer science and maths at the Weizmann Institute.
I find that the best place for me to provide value is a place that combines three things. One is working with people that are much smarter. The second thing is solving really impossible problems. The last thing may look a bit juvenile, but it's important, it's having fun..
Good
match for
Companies scaling from startup into a bigger structure, or pivoting into a new area or product, that need a senior technical leader who thrives on complex, unusual problems. Especially strong for hospitals and health services bringing AI into clinical workflows with full data privacy, and for teams building medical devices, robotics, computer vision or autonomous systems. Equally comfortable as a hands-on VP R&D or CPO, setting governance and product strategy, or joining as fresh eyes on a problem a team has been wrestling with.

When to bring us in
Typical decisions
The critical technology decisions leaders face when delivery, investment or product direction is at risk. How do we connect AI to our EMR, PAS and departmental platforms so it fits how clinicians actually work?
How do we make sure clinicians adopt the system once it's built?
We're scaling from startup to scale-up - how should our R&D and engineering organisation grow with us?
We're pivoting into a new product or market - what are the requirements, risks and technical path?
We're developing a medical device - what should the technical architecture and development roadmap look like?
How do we introduce robotics, automation and data-driven operations into our manufacturing?
How do we take a promising new technology from concept to proof of concept?
Is our computer vision, drone or robotics idea technically feasible, and how do we build it?
Our team has been stuck on a hard technical problem for months - we need someone with fresh eyes.
